An executives desk, a bay window and a night scene are beginning components of this scene.  I googled reference photographs and started with the top of the picture and defined the ceiling.  This allowed the positioning of the bay window, which was initially drawn without any content (the lights and cityscape). The book shelves, also without content were added next. The provides a place for the desk (originally empty), the chairs; both in front and behind were added with trim lines to complete the space. With outlines for everything laid down, the contents of the book shelves are penciled in and the items on the desk. Last is added the window details and the background detail of the scene seen through the bay windows.
