I am kind of stuck on my next frame progression series. I keep on thinking about it and don't have the last frame imagined yet. So, I decided to post this doodle. I like the consistency of lines, the expectation of the character, the mysterious pictogram within the thought balloon.

Hello, I apologize for commenting on a completely unrelated post, but you made a comment on a thread about the Necronomicon that said:
"One of the stories I have read about the Necronomicon is that it is a living entity which can eat other books and take on their attributes and strengthen and repair itself."
I am a writer, and I am using this concept as a frame for a novel, but I cannot remember where I first heard or read of it. Do you remember the source for this story, about the book's ability to "eat" other books? Thank you do much for your time, and I apologize again for commenting on an unrelated post.
It's quite alright. Your request bequeathed a quest as I had to wait days until I had access to my library where I thought I might be able to find the story. I searched through a series of boxes of books,questioning my memory as to whether I truly owned the book, whatever it might look like. My memory was true. In the last box at the bottom was CTHULHU 2000. The story is the Adder; so good I read it out loud to my mother!
